☕ Coffee Board Scheme – Support for Value Addition (R&G Units)
The "Support for Value Addition - Support to Roasting & Grinding (R&G) units" is a sub-component of the Integrated Coffee Development Project under the Coffee Board, Department of Commerce, Government of India. This scheme promotes better quality coffee, encourages entrepreneurship, and boosts coffee consumption—especially in non-traditional areas—through modern roasting, grinding, and packaging technologies.
🎯 Objectives of the Scheme:
- Promote coffee processing (R&G) in new regions
- Support small entrepreneurs and SHGs
- Encourage domestic consumption through quality value-added products
💸 Subsidy Details:
- General Beneficiaries: 40% subsidy on machinery cost up to ₹10 lakh
- SHGs, Women, SC/ST, Minorities, Differently-abled: 50% subsidy up to ₹10 lakh
- Applies to small roasting units (1Kg–25Kg capacity)
📌 Eligibility Criteria:
- Individual entrepreneurs, partnership firms, SHGs, or growers’ collectives
- Must be a new R&G unit (not for upgradation)
- Valid business license is mandatory
🛠️ Components Eligible for Subsidy:
- Roasting, Grinding, and Packaging Machines (any 2 or all 3)
- Only one machine per type (not for replacement/upgrades)
⚠️ Not Eligible If:
- You’ve received a similar subsidy in XI, XII, or MTF plan period
- Unit commissioned before 07-04-2022
- You are upgrading an old unit

📋 Required Documents:
- Blueprint/Layout of R&G unit
- ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, etc.)
- Original Tax Invoice & Bills (freight/installation/etc.)
- Warranty Certificate
- Ownership/Lease documents of premises
- Municipal business license copy
- Bank passbook with IFSC & account details
- Photographs of installed machinery
- SC/ST/Disability certificate (if applicable)
📦 Post-Application Process:
- Scrutiny: Coffee Board verifies the application & conducts inspection
- Installation: After approval, applicant installs machinery
- Claim: Submit support claim and await site inspection
✅ Subsidy Disbursement:
Subsidy will be directly credited to the applicant's bank account via PFMS, only after approval of post-installation inspection by the Coffee Quality Division.
